Crowns
Crowns

Crowns are a dentistry procedure that is required when major decay threatens the structural integrity of a tooth. A cap made of porcelain or metal is placed over a tooth or dental implant to improve the strength and appearance of the tooth. Whereas, a bridge is used when a tooth is missing, by connecting a porcelain or metal tooth to the adjoining teeth.

Veneers
Veneers

Dental Veneers are used to cover the front face of your teeth in a shell of composite or dental porcelain. Veneers are designed to be used if your existing teeth are in good condition, but you are unhappy with their appearance, whether this be colouration, crookedness or gaps between teeth.

Porcelain Veneer
Porcelain veneers are an opaque tooth-like covering, designed to overlay your current teeth. These veneers are custom fit to your mouth, based on your own teeth and are permanently glued in place to your existing teeth.

Porcelain veneers generally require two appointments to be completed. At the first appointment, your teeth are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for an impression of your teeth to be taken. This will give our lab technicians an accurate model of your teeth to make the veneers. At the second appointment your new veneers are fitted and cleaned.

Composite Veneer
The second method of creating a veneer is with a composite paste that is applied to your teeth and sculpted to shape. Once the desired shape is achieved, the resin is set using a light activation system, resulting in a high strength veneer. This process usually is completed in a single appointment.

Digitally Designed Resorations (Cerec)
Digitally Designed Resorations (Cerec)

Cerec is a High tech procedure in which a damaged tooth can be scanned into a computer, and a completely custom porcelain restoration to replace any damaged or missing tooth is formed to fit your mouth. The unique part of this procedure is fast, and can be completed within an hour.

Our highly trained dentists will initially remove any of the old filling or tooth damaged by wear or decay. The next step is to scan the tooth by placing CEREC’s 3D camera inside your mouth. This will capture a 3D digital image of the damaged tooth, replacing the regular plaster impression process. Once the 3D image of your tooth is captured, our CEREC machine will then produce a digital model of your damaged tooth, and design a new restoration.

Once a digital restoration has been designed, a block of dental porcelain will be placed inside the CEREC machine, and over many passes, the machine will mill away at the porcelain with a fine cutting bit, which will result in a high definition implant for your teeth.

Soft Tissue Lasers
Soft Tissue Lasers

While only a relatively new addition to dentistry, Soft tissue laser work provides an exciting approach to dental work. Soft tissue lasers are used to cut and trim gums, connective tissue on the inside of the lips, and other such soft tissues. As it cauterises the cuts as it goes, lasers can provide our skilled dentists with an incredible amount of control and finesse, and speed up your recovery time.
